  Italian Police Allegedly Foil Plot to Steal Enzo Ferrari's Body On Tuesday, Italian investigators announced that they had successfully intervened in an a plot to allegedly steal Enzo Ferrari's body from its tomb and hold it for ransom, according to Reuters.Although details were scarce at the time of publication, police in Nuoro-a city in Sardinia, Italy-said they discovered the plan during an investigation into arms and drug trafficking in the region.

Actor follows in footsteps of Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, Patrick Dempsey.

Actor Michael Fassbender is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and Patrick Dempsey, when he slips in behind the wheel of his Ferrari Challenge race car.

The star known for portraying Steve Jobs, the younger Magneto in the X-Men franchise, and the synthetic lifeform David in Ridley Scott’s Alien prequels, among others, trained with Ferrari’s “Corso Pilota” driver training program and has completed the first round of the single marque racing series in North America.

The Assassin’s Creed star qualified 17th on the 25-car grid, and finished in the same spot, though provisionally 11th in his class (the challenge is broken down into professional and sportsman classes —Trofeo Pirelli and Coppa Shell, respectively). In the second race of the weekend, Fassbender finished 14th overall and 6th in class.

So now, racing in the Ferrari Challenge brings that dream full circle.”

The series runs division in Asia, Europe and North America (in which Fassbender competes, which means he’ll visit Canada when the series visits Montreal as part of the Grand Prix weekend June 9-11, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport for you old folks) the weekend of July 14-16.

He’ll also be hoping to qualify for the World Final that includes all three regions on Oct 26-29 in Mugello.

Ferrari Is Still Considering A New Dino But Doesn't Want To, You Know, Look Cheap .
Ferrari is apparently still arguing with itself over bringing back the Dino as a new entry level sports car, but there’s hesitation over brand image. They don’t want to start to look cheap, you know, like Porsche. God forbid we ever have dreams of maybe someday being able to walk into a dealership and buy a brand new Ferrari Dino, even if it is the “least expensive” model.
