Compared to the 911 GT3 R before it, the 2019-spec model has gone through some changes to boost aero in the same vein as the tweaks Porsche applied for the road car. Further modifications included increasing the tire circumference at the front wheels from 650 to 680 millimeters and installing the latest development of the company’s double wishbone suspension.

The engineers also spent some time working on the braking system to increase stiffness and also to enable a more accurate control of the anti-lock brakes. Another order of business was to improve safety by engineering a new bucket seat bolted at six points to grant superior protection for the driver in case of an accident.
