One woman’s romantic journey is proof that love can be found in the most unexpected places at the most unexpected times.

Frances Alban, after being disillusioned with the dating scene in her hometown of Miami, decided to take a break from romance in order to pursue the things she loved.

“Being a single woman in your late 30s is kind of tough. I felt like it was really hard and I wanted to center myself again,” she told USA Today.

As a way to recharge and reinvigorate herself, Alban and two friends decided to book a few cheap tickets to Sicily for a vacation. That’s where Alban met Roberto.

In a house listed on Airbnb in Cefalù, Italy, Alban met the house’s owner, Roberto Tomasello, who is an architect. Tomasello welcomed Alban and her friends to the house and showed them around the property, with views of the water.

This Woman Dropped 85 Pounds by Following a Few Simple Rules It's a lot easier than you think. Molly Smith, a nutrition student from Vancouver, weighed almost 225 pounds at her heaviest due to a self-proclaimed food addiction. She'd binge on high-calorie snacks and over-eat when she "got hold of treats." Smith, 24, even became depressed, stating that "being overweight is so much more than a physical challenge, but a mental one too."Then, she fell for a guy and began losing weight in the hopes that he'd finally be interested in her. In the process, though, Smith shed the pounds for someone even better: herself.

“Everyone was snapping pictures of the view, and I took a pic of Roberto,” Alban told USA Today. And the feeling of attraction was mutual.

After texting with Alban a few times over the next couple of days during her stay, Tomasello came back to the house to check the women out of the Airbnb. While it seemed like their flirtation would end, Tomasello had a surprised Alban with a proposition to continue their relationship.

“He said ‘I know this sounds crazy, but you are a fantastic girl and I would love to get to know you,’” Alban said.

The couple continued to talk for several months until June 2017, when Tomasello came to visit Alban in Miami. Later in October, when Alban came to Palermo, Sicily, where Tomasello lives, the two got engaged.

“You never think something like this will happen to you, but it can,” Alban said.

Traveling to Disney World With a Big Family? This 1 Hack Will Save You Tons of Money .
It's no secret that a trip to Walt Disney World isn't exactly a budget-friendly vacation, especially if you're traveling with extended family. But that definitely doesn't mean you can't make it work (everyone deserves to experience the magic of Disney, after all). If you want the whole family to stay on Disney property together, your vacation savings will drain faster than you can say, "Dole Whip, please." The trick? Rent a house. Let's say, for example, you have six adults and five children in your party - one night in a two-bedroom suite at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa can cost you over $1,500 per night (PER NIGHT!). Even if your family splits up into two smaller rooms, you could still be looking at over $400 per night for a one-bedroom suite. And while there are some great benefits of staying on property, you may have trouble convincing grandpa that the complimentary transportation and Extra Magic Hours are worth the extra cash. VRBO, or Vacation Rental By Owner, has literally thousands of houses and townhomes within just minutes of Walt Disney World's main gate. And now that Disney is charging hotel guests for overnight parking, you can save even more money by staying in a home with your very own (free) driveway.
