Five men have been charged after two men were allegedly assaulted in Kenosee Lake, Sask. The incident was " related to a Hells Angels motorcycle club event held annually" in Kenosee Lake, according to an RCMP news release.

Last week, police charged five men with assault relating to an annual Hells Angels event held at Kenosee Lake, Sask., over the May long weekend. Calgary Police say biker gangs hold events across the country, and that incidents are rare.

Five men have been charged in connection with an altercation in a southeast Saskatchewan resort community that police say was related to a Hells Angels event.

The arrests were made recently as part of a joint operation between Carlyle RCMP and the RCMP/Regina Police Service Integrated Intelligence Unit (RIIU). They stem from an incident that allegedly occurred two months ago at a Kenosee Lake business, when the Hells Angels motorcycle club annually holds a gathering in the resort community, according to a news release.

Back in May, RCMP put out a call to the public for any information regarding a fight that involved a number of people around 2:15 a.m. May 20 at a business on Lake View Street at Kenosee Lake. Police said two men were assaulted, suffering non-life threatening injuries.

The RCMP say two men suffered non-life threatening injuries when they were assaulted at a business at Kenosee Lake. Police say the altercation was related to an annual Hells Angels motorcycle club event . Four men from Regina and a man from Moose Jaw all face assault charges .

At that time, investigators were specifically asking for the public’s help in obtaining copies of any video footage, photographic images, or audio recordings of the incident.

According to a news release Monday morning, charges have now been laid against Richard Jerome Bandet, 43, of Regina, accused of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm; Daniel Adam Becker, 34, of Regina, accused of assault; Howard Cedric Cormier , 52, of Moose Jaw, accused of assault; Javis Martin Watson, 35, of Regina facing three counts of assault; and Andrew Blair Waugh, 29, of Regina, accused of assault causing bodily harm.

All five have made their initial court appearances and were released on conditions.
