Debra Messing wasted no time taking a swipe at E! for alleged pay disparity during a live interview with the network from the red carpet for the 2018 Golden Globes.

Nicole Kidman Said The Sweetest Thing To Keith Urban In Her Golden Globes Speech

Nicole Kidman Said The Sweetest Thing To Keith Urban In Her Golden Globes Speech Can Nicole Kidman make an acceptance speech without leaving us in tears? At the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night, the Australian actress won the trophy for Best Actress in a Limited Series for her dazzling performance in HBO’s “Big Little Lies.” After thanking a host of women who’ve inspired her, Kidman turned her attention to husband Keith Urban, who watched proudly from the audience. “When my cheek is against yours, everything melts away. I love you,” Kidman said.

Debra Messing didn't muck around when she stepped up to be interviewed by E ! host Giuliana Rancic on the Golden Globes red carpet . Messing , dressed all in black like many of today's Globes stars, was asked what the colour meant to her.

The "Will and Grace" star was donning a black sequin gown and was asked by E!'s Giuliana Rancic why she chose the somber color.

Messing used the opportunity to slam the NBC-owned entertainment network for allegedly paying their female co-hosts less than their male counterparts during the live interview.

"I am wearing black to thank and honor all of the brave whistleblowers who came forward to share their stories of harassment and assault and discrimination," Messing explained.

"I was so shocked to hear that E! doesn't believe in paying their female co-hosts the same as their male co-hosts," she told Rancic adding that she misses former E! host Catt Sadler who quit the network in late December over pay disparity.

Blanca Blanco ignores all-black dress code at Golden Globes

Blanca Blanco ignores all-black dress code at Golden Globes That's one way to make a red carpet statement. Hollywood's biggest stars stepped out in black outfits for the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night in an effort to keep the spotlight trained on the sexual harassment and assault scandals that have roiled Hollywood and other industries. But the 36-year-old actress either didn't get the memo or chose to ignore the suggested dress code for the award show.PHOTOS: All of the Ladies Who Rocked Pants on the Red CarpetBlanco chose a risque ensemble for the red carpet. She turned heads in a bright red gown with a thigh high slit and plunging neckline.

Debra Messing used a Golden Globes red carpet interview to talk about the #TimesUp movement and noted in an interview with cable channel E ! that the network doesn’t pay its female hosts the same as its male hosts.

"So we stand with [Sadler] and that's something that can change tomorrow. We want people to start having this conversation that women are just as valuable as men," Messing explained.

Turning the Globes dark on the fashion front was a call for massive reform following the downfall of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and numerous others in Hollywood, media, fashion, tech, publishing and other industries. The Time's Up initiative, backed by more than 300 women in Hollywood, doled out pins intended for those who might already have locked in more colorful looks.

Rancic did her best to recover from the awkward interaction.

"That's really what this movement is all about," Rancic told Messing without directly answering the actress' comment about Sadler.

Milo Ventimiglia admits he fell in a swimming pool after the Golden Globes .
It's not a party until someone goes for a fully-clothed swim. You know, it's not a party until someone takes a fully-clothed dip in the pool, which means that HBO's Golden Globes after-party has been officially certified as awesome.
