The film's British star Sally Hawkins, who earned and Oscar nomination for her role in the "The Shape Of Water", won the CSA for Best Actress while co-star Ethan Hawke took home Best Supporting Actor. The late Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie's documentary "The Secret Path", commemorating the life of 12-year-old Chenie Wenjack who died while while running away from a residential school in 1966, won the award for Best Social/Political Documentary.
