James Corden has quit cold turkey on eating meat.

The "Late Late Show" host spoke with Radio Times this week and revealed that he had recently decided to go vegetarian.

Corden explained that he made the change after reading an article about the abuse of elephants.

"At Christmas, I read a story about the mistreatment of elephants and realized I was upset about animal welfare while eating a bacon sandwich," the 39-year-old said.

"I thought, Well, you really can't be upset about elephants and not think about the pigs," Corden continued. "I hope I can keep it up. I will certainly try."

While he's cut meat out of his diet, Corden admitted that he hasn't yet eliminated seafood.

"I'm going to try to phase out fish next," he said. "It's going to be a gradual process."
