The Toronto Raptors are one of more than a dozen professional sports teams that will no longer stay at Trump hotels while on road trips, according to a report in the Washington Post.

Twelve NBA teams used to stay at the Trump SoHo in New York before Trump announced his successful run for the U.S. presidency in 2015, and all but one have reportedly stopped. The Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards are among the teams that have changed hotels.

Another NBA team has stopped staying at Trump’s hotel in Chicago, according to the report. And at least three NHL teams and one MLB club have also joined the boycott.

The Post reached out to all 123 teams in the four major sports. Of the 105 that replied, not one confirmed their players are staying at Trump hotels.

Dwane Casey: Raptors using pre-season predictions as fuel .
Dwane Casey has seen the pre-season predictions and was paying attention to the scaled down hype surrounding the Toronto Raptors. But the head coach doesn’t care and is making sure his players don’t either. “Use it for fuel,” Casey said Wednesday morning during an appearance on The Starting Lineup on Sportsnet 590 The FAN. “Everybody has anointed Golden State and Cleveland as far as the cream of the crop. But we all have to play 82 games. That’s what I challenge our players with. … The predictions can say one thing. We are a different team than last year.
