  Argonauts re-sign DL Ken Bishop through 2018 season The Toronto Argonauts re-signed American defensive lineman Ken Bishop through the 2018 season Tuesday. Bishop, 29, was limited to five games — starting four — last season due to injury. He started 15 contests in 2015, his first season with the Argos. The six-foot, 306-pound Bishop has 37 tackles and three sacks with Toronto. The Argos also re-signed American receivers Brian Tyms and Chandler Worthy to new contracts. Tyms, 28, joined the Argos as a free agent Sept. 14, 2017 after playing in eight games with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Tyms had 29 catches for 237 yards and a TD in nine career CFL contests.

The Hamilton Tiger - Cats are talking with receiver Luke Tasker about a contract extension, according to CFL sources. Veteran Terrence Toliver should also be ready after tearing his ACL on the opening series last season.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed American receiver Luke Tasker to a two-year contract extension Monday.

Tasker was eligible to become a free agent Tuesday.

"Luke is a leader in our locker room and has developed into one of the best receivers in the Canadian Football League," head coach June Jones said in a statement. "He’s got an outstanding skill set, and his unselfish play and toughness are exactly the kind of attributes that we want to personify in the football team.

"It was important to have him back and we’re thrilled to have him continue to call Hamilton home as the only franchise in his professional football career."

Tasker, 27, registered career highs in games (18), catches (104), receiving yards (1,167) and receiving TDs (seven) last season. He set a club record for most receptions in a season.

The native of Buffalo, N.Y., has spent his entire five-year CFL career with Hamilton, having registered 341 receptions for 4,224 yards and 24 TDs.

EDMONTON - The Edmonton Eskimos re-signed American Vidal Hazelton to a one-year deal but released veteran Adarius Bowman rather than pay him a $140,000 roster bonus. A source told The Canadian Press last week that Bowman, 32, was due the bonus Monday. The six-foot-three, 215-pound Bowman had a club-record 120 catches for a league-high 1,759 yards and nine TDs in 2016. He then signed a contract extension through 2018 that at the time made him the league’s highest-paid non quarterback.Bowman reportedly earned $260,000 last season and was scheduled to make $265,000 this year, including the bonus. He now becomes a free agent.
