Suspended Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory is expected to meet with NFL officials this week in New York in his bid to be reinstated, multiple sources told ESPN's Todd Archer.

Gregory reportedly applied for reinstatement in May after a year-long suspension for multiple substance-abuse violations. According to Archer, commissioner Roger Goodell may be one of the league officials he'll be meeting.

Daniel Moskowitz, Gregory's attorney, declined comment. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said last week that the team would leave all proceedings in the NFL's hands.

Durant plans on re-signing with Warriors, but 'anything can happen'

Durant plans on re-signing with Warriors, but 'anything can happen' Kevin Durant delivered probably his greatest postseason performance Wednesday in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, but prior to the contest he was being asked about his future. "Yeah, yeah," Durant told USA TODAY's Sam Amick when asked if he would return to the Golden State Warriors next season. "Everything, the money and stuff that's got to, the contract got to (be) worked out, but I plan on being here. I said that earlier this year. I didn't plan on anything else. But this is the NBA, and anything can happen. And I know that anything can happen."That much is certain, as the former MVP who joined a Dubs squad coming off a 73-win season in 2016 can attest.

According to Cowboys ’ media personality and former club scout Bryan Broaddus, Gregory has started to lay the groundwork to file for his reinstatement . I understand some of his people have met with people in the NFL at the Combine.

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory , who didn’t play last season while serving a drug-related suspension, is preparing to petition the NFL for reinstatement , multiple sources told David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.

"We don't have anything to report differently, other than that I know he's wanting to move forward with the appeal," Jones said. "I don't really have anything new to report on that front other than that. I know he's done the application process, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't had the actual appeal."

A second-round selection out of Nebraska in 2015, the 25-year-old Gregory has played in just two games over the last two seasons due to multiple suspensions.
